20th Anniversary in The Maldives

Honestly, it’s hard to believe we really did this trip! This has been a bucket list dream location for us for a long time. Having business in Asia helps when you are wanting to explore this side of the world and a quick 4 hour flight from Singapore made this a no brainer when it came to where we would plan to celebrate our 20th Anniversary 🥂

Let me tell you, this place does not disappoint. It is exactly like what we dreamed it would be. This water is crazy gorgeous and would make anyone want to dive right into the warm, calm waters. We spent days truly relaxing, eating good food, experiencing incredible service and hospitality and taking in the beauty of this location day after day. One of the days we took off on an excursion to swim with wild sharks in the ocean.  It sounded like a great idea until we were standing there looking over the side of the boat into the shark infested waters and being told we could “go ahead and get in”. 😳🦈 We both looked at our watches which was registering pretty high numbers for our individual heart rates in that moment and questioned our life choices. 😂 But we did it anyways and it was a super cool experience. Super glad we rented a GoPro to be able to capture all of this on camera because once in a lifetime is about all I need on that experience. 

I’ve been asked a bunch if I plan all of our trips or use a travel agent. To which I respond; I should probably become a travel agent at this point because I’ve never used one before. (other than a Disney travel agent which I highly recommend). In all honesty, at this point I’m considering starting a travel blog or something just to write down all of my thoughts and opinions about all of the places we go. Because if you know me well…. You KNOW I’ve got opinions 😂 is that something people even do anymore? Do people read travel blogs?

A Case of the Monday's

If you have not read Part 1 and Part 2 of this please scroll down to get the whole story: Monday in the hospital was particularly challenging, and had its own set of problems to be worked through. Adam had been originally scheduled to leave on Tuesday morning for a business trip to China for 10 days. I am not sure if you have flown lately, but they generally don't let you "take a rain check" or transfer your ticket to someone else the day before you are to leave. This presented quite a problem since it was pretty apparent that we were not going to be leaving the hospital anytime soon. Because Adam works for my dad we had the luxury of letting him figure out how all that was going to work. If you know my dad, you know that if anyone can get something done that most people can't....its him.
