Adam had been originally scheduled to leave on Tuesday morning for a business trip to China for 10 days. I am not sure if you have flown lately, but they generally don't let you "take a rain check" or transfer your ticket to someone else the day before you are to leave. This presented quite a problem since it was pretty apparent that we were not going to be leaving the hospital anytime soon. Because Adam works for my dad we had the luxury of letting him figure out how all that was going to work. Well this week is pretty much explained by pictures so here we go. This is the preemie outfit we bought to take Haven home from the hospital in, however, she is now 4 weeks old and its still so big it just swallows her. I think it was not true to size personally. Anyways, I think she looks so stinkin' cute in this thing. Its her "back to school" outfit. Look at those sleeves! She looks like she is jumping So this was the hardest day of our lives as parents so far. I got a very disturbing phone call from our pediatrician on Tuesday morning saying that her newborn screening came back with an "abnormality in her hemoglobin". She said that she needed to check Haven immediately (as in TODAY) for a possible blood disorder. She said they were going to check it against 600 possibilities.
